I studied drawing, painting, and art history in Aix-en-Provence, France at the Leo Marchutz School of Drawing and Painting, where Paul Cézanne lived and worked. I am a student at Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service studying the relationship between art and democracy. My work is influenced by Mediterranean art and architecture from my upbringing in Jerusalem, where my parents were covering the Israeli- Palestinian conflict as journalists. In my work I experiment with color in oil paint. I often leave the white of the surface so as to focus on the essential strokes of the landscape or subject.
